Milo "Mike? F. Parizek, 82, a resident of Living Center East, formerly of Center Point, died Friday, December 20, 2002, in the care center, following a short illness. Services: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 24, 2002, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2002, at the funeral home. Burial: Center Point Cemetery, Center Point, with military rites.
Survivors include his children, Vesta Parizek of Center Point, Reita (Michael) O?Rourke of Grandview, Missouri, Ira (Lisa) Parizek of Rowley and Alva (fiance Judy Messer) Parizek of Brandon; three grandchildren, Coby, Kendra and Levi Parizek; and Dylan Messer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Jean; four brothers, Joseph, Paul, Charles and John; and two sisters, Emma and Gladys.
Mike was born August 21, 1920, the son of Joe and Blanche Josifek Parizek, in Center Point, Iowa. He served for five years in the United States Navy during World War II. On June 22, 1951, Mike was united in marriage to Mary Jean Bonesteel. She died January 24, 1973. A lifetime resident of the Center Point area, he was a farmer and also worked at Rockwell for 19 years, retiring from there in 1982. He was a member of the Dye-Benion American Legion Post 297 of Center Point.
Mike loved ice cream and farming. He also was an avid bicyclist. Mike will be truly missed by his family and friends.
