Mildred "Millie? A.Waite, 84, 1120 28th St., died Friday, February 11, 2005, at St. Luke?s Hospital, following a short illness. Services: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2005, at First Baptist Church in Marion by Rev. Randy Bobzien. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include her children, John E. (Carol) Waite of What Cheer, Collette Yarrington of Marion and Greg (Faith) Waite of Rockford, Illinois; two sisters, Pauline Rick of Marion and Molly Foster of Waterloo; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and six brothers and sisters, Melvin Kinkead, Mabel Ash, Marion Kinkead, Betty Beck, Lula B Talyat and Dwayne Kinkead, who died in infancy.

Millie was born September 26, 1920, the daughter of Amos and Sarah (Bieber) Kinkead in Marion. On July 22, 1938, she married Billie S. Waite. He died December 26, 1990. Millie was an active member of First Baptist Church in Marion for over forty years. She was also active in FMC Retirees group and the senior dancing group.

Millie enjoyed yard work, gardening, flowers and handicrafts. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
