Mildred Ardath "Millie" Flickinger

Mildred “Millie” Ardath Flickinger, 85, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013, from a prolonged illness in Everett, WA. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2013, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2013, at the funeral home. Internment will be at Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery, Iowa City, Iowa.
Survivors include her five children, Gary, Kenneth, Douglas, Craig Flickinger and Kathy Miller; eight grandchildren, Lisa, Curt, Jason, Becky, Scott, Jon, Monika and Colin; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and loving husband.
Millie was born June 8, 1928, in Frytown, Iowa, daughter of Mearlin and Ruth Gosnell. In October 1944 she was united in marriage to Harley Flickinger of Iowa City. She attended school at Center High in Iowa City. Millie worked at the Butterfly Café and the Flame Room.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions to Camp Courageous.
