Mildred A. Fussell, 88, of 2746 Dalewood Avenue S.E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa died Saturday, June 6, 2009, in Higley Mansion, in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2009, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by Father Chris Podhasky. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the church. Burial at a later date at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her son, Jon Fussell of Des Moines; daughter, Anne Fussell of Schaumburg, Illinois; brother, Lumir (Norma) Newmeister of Cedar Rapids; and three nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Richard.
Born June 19, 1920, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mildred was the daughter of Joseph and Bessie (Vanek) Neumeister. On July 29, 1942, she was united in marriage to Richard Fussell in Cedar Rapids. He died September 18, 1988.
Mildred was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
