In her teen years, she embarked on a lengthy career in the food industry, which she truly loved. She was thankful to receive positive mentoring as she learned her trade and worked in many fine food service establishments. On March 15, 1943, she married Noel W. Braynard in Paris, Texas. Millie and Noel were proud of establishing and operating Braynard?s Catering Service for over 40 years, serving groups of 25 to 2500 people.
Millie was consistently involved in all sorts of activities to promote positive opportunities for her family and area youth. She was a leader in scouting and ensured everyone experienced the joy of music, dance, gardening and cooking. She developed and promoted local talent contests with the winning contestants going on to the state fair. In business, she started several teenagers on the right path to productive careers through her mentoring. Millie was generous, lived her life helping others, and will be greatly missed.
