Mildred Maxine Baughman (Baughman)

Mildred Baughman, 85, of The Methwick Community, Cedar Raids, Iowa, died Monday, December 10, 2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, following a short illness. Services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 15, 2007, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion, Iowa, by Rev. Jack Kendall. The family will greet friends from 3 ?" 7 p.m., Friday, December 14, 2007, at the funeral home. Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Lewis, Iowa.
Survivors include a brother, Lyle (Ann) Baughman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two nieces, Dana (Kyle) Chapman and their son, Carter, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Melanie (Greg) Raffel of Chesterfield, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
Mildred was born August 20, 1922, the daughter of John and Mattie (Simmerman) Baughman, in Griswold, Iowa. Mildred graduated from Griswold High School in 1940, later attending American Institute of Business in Des Moines, Iowa. She retired from Delavan Corporation of West Des Moines, Iowa in 1987 as a Marketing Services Manager, having worked there 32 years. She was a member of the College Christian Church in Des Moines, Iowa. While living at The Methwick Community, she was very involved with music and worship services. She also was very active with volunteering there.
