Michelle "Shelly? F. Ohl, 34, of rural Springville, joined the angels on Thursday, February 13, 2003, after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer with her family at her bedside. Services: 2 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2003, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Thelma Hembroff of the Unity Center. Visitation: 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Sashia Ohl of Springville; her mother, Rosemary Hartley of Springville; her loving companion, Glenn Lange, Sr. of Springville; her closest friend, Vicky Lange of Springville; her siblings, Kathie Waite of Marion, Susan (Den) Denny and Dennis (Becky) Latham, all of Springville, Don (Sandy) Latham and Dave (Rachael) Latham, all of Oelwein, Doug (Judy) Latham of Toddville, Dan Latham of Ely, Sandra Lange of Waubeek and Andrea (Ben) Baily of Anamosa; one great aunt, Christine Miller of California; ten nieces; eleven nephews; one great-niece; and three great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents, Merwin F. and Zita Harkin and Ora and Irma Ohl.
Michelle was born February 14, 1968, to Melvin (Pete) and Rosemary (Harkin) Ohl in Oelwein, Iowa. Michelle graduated from Springville High School and attended Kirkwood Community College. Michelle worked at Casey?s and the Knight Spot in Springville.
