Michael Christopher Tschiggfrie, 33, of 320 1/2 2nd Avenue SE, died suddenly in his home. Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2002, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Gary Dobbins, with military rites. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2002, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his mother, Christle Wicks (Larry) of Cedar Rapids; his father, Michael Tschiggfrie and fiancé Shirlee Dietrich of Mount Vernon; two brothers, Richard (Lynnelle) Tschiggfrie of Cedar Rapids and John Tschiggfrie of Columbus, Nebraska; two sisters, Angela Tschiggfrie of Marion and Jeannie (Brian) McNeal of Cedar Rapids; his grandparents, Floyd and Helen Tschiggfrie of Dubuque and Maynard and Teresa "Pat? Hall of Mission, Texas; two nieces, Cassi and Abby; a nephew, Connor; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Michael was born June 26, 1969, the son of Michael and Christle (Hall) Tschiggfrie, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He served with the United States Army during the Persian Gulf War.
Michael held various positions in computers, electronics and sales. He also was currently pursuing his MCSE certification. Michael enjoyed guitar, disc golf, water skiing, listening to music and home improvement. He also loved spending time with his family and friends and will be truly missed by all.
