Mike “Trousy” Trousdale, 57, of the SW side of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, September 7, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids due to heart complications. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at the Moose Lodge: 1820 W Post Road SW, Cedar Rapids, IA, 52404. The family requests that everyone wear casual attire. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include his son, Gus Trousdale of Cedar Rapids; sister, Julie Ellis of Colorado; and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Trousy was born November 30, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Calvin and Lorraine Trousdale. He was employed at Cryovac for many years. Trousy was very active in the live music scene in the Cedar Rapids area for years.
A memorial fund has been established and donations may be directed to his family at: 5250 21st Avenue, Marion, IA, 52302, in Trousy’s honor.
