Michael “Mike” W. Schnyder, 51, of Marion, died Monday, November 2, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2009, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Marion. The family will greet friends 4-8 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2009, at the funeral home. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion, military honors provided by Marion American Legion Post #298.
Survivors include his wife, Debra of Marion; his mother, Lois Schnyder of Milton, PA; his children, Andrew Beaupre of Cedar Rapids, Shaun Sagner of Marion, Bryce Sagner of Marion, and Brianna Sagner of Marion; his siblings, Tracie (Raymond) Leitzel of PA, Andrea Trivelpiece of PA, and Thomas Schnyder of PA; his father-in-law, Treffle Beaupre of Fort Madison, IA; and three grandchildren, Elijah, Kaylee, and Aurora.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mike was born August 20, 1958, in Williamsport, PA, the son of Maynard and Lois (Meckley) Schnyder. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mike was the manager of Cigarette Outlet #6. He married Debra Beaupre on February 1, 2003, in Las Vegas. Mike was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Phillies and the Eagles. He enjoyed going to the races and watching NASCAR.
