Michael E. McLaud, 58, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at Belle Plaine Specialty Care. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Christ Community Church in Marion.
Michael was born on November 8, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Edward and Ruby (Williams) McLaud. He graduated from Washington High School. Michael worked at Roederer/Mayflower. He was a member of Christ Community Church. Michael loved camping and fishing. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Mosty importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his mother, Ruby McLaud of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Mandi (Jason) Martin of Cedar Rapids; son, Koady McLaud of Cedar Rapids; step-children, Kali Klenk, Cody Bascom, Jeremy Conner, and Austin Klenk all of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Tayia, Tayton, Trevor and Royalty; two sisters, Cynthia (Rick) Cohn of Robins, Iowa, and Claudia McLaud of Cedar Rapids; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward.
