Michael David Hotchkiss, 49, of Hiawatha, passed away following a brave battle against cancer on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at Alburnett Christian Church in Alburnett, Iowa, on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at 11:00 a.m.
Michael was born August 6, 1968, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Rose (Crosby) and Steve Hotchkiss. He graduated from Linn-Mar High School. Mike previously worked for the family business, Midwest Janitorial Supply. Most recently he worked in retail sales. Mike’s many interests include fishing, golf and various sports.
His family includes his mother, Rose (Crosby) Hotchkiss of Hiawatha; two sons, Nick and Jon Halverson of Dyersville; and a brother, Allan Hotchkiss of Waukee.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Angela (Frantz); and his father, Steve Hotchkiss.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alburnett Christian Church, 305 N. Main Avenue, Alburnett, Iowa 52202.
