Michael Gregory Boots

Michael Gregory Boots, 62, of Cedar Rapids, died at his home. Services will be at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his father, Laverne Boots of Cedar Rapids; a son, Anthony Boots; a daughter, Kara McCusker; a brother, John Boots of Brandon; a granddaughter; and a step-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret; a brother, Andrew; and a sister, Angela.
Michael was born August 15, 1948, the son of Laverne and Margaret (Fernandez) Boots in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Independence High School in 1966. Michael worked many factory jobs in Cedar Rapids and most recently worked at Wal-Mart.
He enjoyed tinkering with old cars, cooking, gardening, and time with kids at Good News Baptist Church.
