Meredith M. Fulmer, 91, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at her home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Urbana Memorial Cemetery, Urbana, Iowa. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Meredith was born May 19, 1930, in Washburn, Maine, the daughter of Harold and Annie (Wilcox) Carter. She was a graduate of Zion Bible Institute, Class of 1953 where she became an ordained minister. Meredith married Johnie Cyrus Fulmer on July 11, 1953, in Presque Isle, Maine. Meredith and Johnie dedicated their life to missionary evangelist work in the Philippines for over 25 years. She was a devoted mother. Meredith enjoyed studying the Bible and teaching others the beauty and grace of the Word.
Survivors include her son, Mark (Teresa) Fulmer of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Matthew (Michelle) Fulmer of Cedar Rapids, April (Robert) Bent of Newton, and Jason Chambers of Cedar Rapids; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Dale (Maureen) Carter of Bangor, Maine, and Joyce Thurston of Presque Isle, Maine; and sister-in-law, Alice Fulmer of Batavia, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Annie Carter; husband, Johnie Fulmer in 2020; and brother-in-law, Lynnford Fulmer.
