She was a faithful member of Eden United Church of Christ for over 62 years until its closing, participated in a bible study for over 42 years and was devoted to her "Walk to Emmaus" Reunion Group for many years.
Mazie was very active in a Silver Sneakers exercise group and loved the friends and fellowship that grew out of that. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and her joy filled welcoming spirit to all. She loved spending time with her family, crocheting, playing games, and working sudoku and crossword puzzles.
During her short term illness, she was gifted with grace filled time to realize how loved she is and the legacy of love and friendship that she leaves with each of us. She has touched many lives and the fingerprints that she leaves on our hearts is eternal.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to Hospice of Mercy and the Four Oaks Partnership for Safe Families Program.
