Max E. Pflughaupt, 48, of 3915 Vern Acres Dr., Center Point, died Monday, January 13, 2003, in St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a sudden illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2003, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City, by the Rev. Nick Needham. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 16.) Burial: Mt. Clark Cemetery, Central City.
Survivors include two sons, Clint Pflughaupt of Center Point and Josh Pflughaupt of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Maxine Pflughaupt of Central City; a grandson, Logan Pflughaupt; a special friend, Martha Trier; and three brothers, Roger Pflughaupt and wife Marilyn and Dennis Pflughaupt and wife Nancy, all of Coggon, and Ronald Pflughaupt and wife Sandy of Marion. He was preceded in death by his father.
Max was born the son of Glenn L. and Maxine Johnson Pflughaupt on July 18, 1954, in Anamosa. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Linn County Road Department. Max enjoyed hunting and motorcycle riding. He was a loving son, father, grandfather and brother.
