Mary Kay Wickman, 71, of Central City passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at her home. Per Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017, at the American Legion Wapsie Post #421, at 6 Central City Road, Central City. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City is assisting the family.
Mary is survived by her husband, John Wickman of Central City; children, John (Tina) Wickman of Coggon, Merri Ann Wickman of Cedar Rapids, and Darin (Megan) Wickman of Alburnett; grandchildren, Mason Wickman of Coggon, Kammie Vogel of Springville, Alexis Osborn of Vinton, Hayle Pearson of Cedar Rapids, Lonna Wickman, Lauren Wickman, and Morgan Wickman, all of Alburnett; great-granddaughter, Ryker Blackford of Springville; sister, Julia (Ernie) Olhauser of Cedar Rapids; and brother, Robert (Ruth) Hard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rosealita Cassvant; brothers, Charles Hard and Ray Hard.
Mary was born August 27, 1945, in Wisconsin, the daughter of Alvert and Bernice (Duncan) Cassvant. She attended Roosevelt High School. On September 20, 1986, in Delhi, she married John Wickman. Mary was employed at Quaker Oats, the Longbranch, and Garnett Place.
