Mary Jean Taylor, 84, of Strawberry Point Lutheran Home, formerly of Central City, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015. Private Family Graveside Service will take place on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Central City, Iowa. Conducted by: Vicki Engelmann. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City.
Survivors include her children, Lois Glage of Walford, Rick (Cheryl) Taylor of Central City, and Sandra (Loras) Faber of Monticello; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, George Taylor; and her brothers, Tom and Dale Ahlrich.
Mary was born on November 22, 1930 to Jack and Bernice (Wolmutt) Ahlrich in Monticello, Iowa. She married George A. Taylor, January 27, 1949 in Monticello, Iowa. She was a homemaker and later was an Avon sales representative.
