Mary Lynn Stewart, 59, of Willow Garden Care Center, Marion, Iowa, formerly of Coggon, was called home, Thursday, August 2, 2007. Private family services.
Survivors include children, Jerry (Pamela) Mosher of Coggon, Mia Mosher of Cedar Rapids, David (Mariam) Mosher of Cedar Rapids and Lara (Francesca) Mosher of St. Paul, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Kiefer, Hanna, James, Landyn, Laikynn and Dylainey; and two brothers, Michael (Jane) Stewart of Allendale, Michigan and Tom (Marilyn) Stewart of Otsego, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Richard Stewart.
Mary was born October 23, 1947, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the daughter of Jack and Marilyn (Bollinger) Stewart. A brilliant scholar, she was valedictorian and received her Bachelors of Arts Degree and Masters Degree with honors from Western Michigan University and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa
She was honored to receive a Governor’s award for her volunteerism and proud to meet Al Gore when he visited Cedar Rapids.

Mary was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was the center of her universe.
Her beautiful soprano voice and raucous laughter will be dearly missed.
