M. Ione Olmstead, 90, a resident of Winslow House Care Center, formerly of Central City, died Saturday, January 14, 2006, at the care center. Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Jonna Jensen. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Marion. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond; daughters, Joyce (Jim) Lucas and Char Pruismann, both of Central City; a brother, Walter Wooldridge of Seadrift, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Lila Olmstead; six grandchildren, Douglas (Marie) Lucas, Michael (Sharon) Lucas, Lisa (Anthony) Hurst, Lynnette (John) Kramer, Debbie (Prince "Dre? Gibson) Pruismann and Dustin (Mckinzie) Pruismann; and twenty great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Alberta; four sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; and a great-grandson, Devon Pruismann.

Ione was born August 2, 1915, the daughter of Nathan and Flora (Lake) Wooldridge in Anamosa. On November 6, 1938, she married Raymond W. Olmstead in Cedar Rapids. Ione and her husband Raymond farmed in the Mt. Vernon area for many years. Upon retirement they enjoyed eighteen winters together in Texas. Ione enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting and handicrafts. She was a member of the Good Sam Camping Club and Holiday Ramblers Camping Club.

A memorial fund has been established in Ione?s memory.
