Mary Elizabeth Milbach, 77, of 1660 Red Fox Way, died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center, following a short illness. Services: 9 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2003, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion by Rev. John Gossman. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion where a parish vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur; her children, JoAnn Milbach of Marion, Jeannine Milbach of Marion, Larry Milbach (Joan) of Marion, Bev Connon (John) of Morris, Illinois, Phyllis Rooks of Midlothian, Virginia, Sue Milbach of Richmond, Virginia, Marsha Coady (Jeff) of Atlantic, Steve Milbach of Solon, Robert Milbach (Ellen) of Coggon, Margaret Sears (Craig) of Cedar Rapids, Dave Milbach (Linda) of Marion, Tom Milbach of Florida and Jeff Milbach (Sue) of Marion; and seventeen grandchildren.
Also surviving are her siblings, Christina Brady of Hazelton, Katheryn Miller of Independence, Ruth Kerns of Fairbanks, John Michels of Oelwein and Robert Michels of Hazelton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Donna Milbach.
Mary was born May 18, 1926, the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Weber) Michels in rural Stanley, Iowa. She graduated from Stanley High School and then attended beauty college in Oelwein. On June 11, 1947, she married Arthur Milbach in Hazelton. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion.
Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
