Mary Leach
June 24, 1915 — February 18, 2003
Mary Leach, 87, of 425 22nd Street N.E., died Tuesday evening, February 18, 2003, at her home of cancer. There will be no services. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Fred; her children, Gary (Dolores) Leach and Nancy (Stephen) Ochiltree; four grandchildren, one step-grandchild; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Tellena Kadlec of West Des Moines.
Born June 24, 1915, in Santa Rosa, Florida, to John and Alida Brode Vosdingh, she married Fred Leach on September 19, 1936, in Cedar Rapids. Mary dressed and made blankets for many dolls and donated them to Toys for Tots for over twenty years.
Memorials may be made to Toys for Tots in care of the Cedar Rapids Jaycees or St. Luke?s Hospice.
