Mary K. Langmo

Mary K. Langmo, 85, of 365 Marion Blvd., Village Ridge, Marion, died Tuesday, October 22, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2002, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion, by the Rev. John Gossman. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. today (Thursday) at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion.
Surviving is a son, Jim of Newport, Minnesota.
Also surviving are two grandchildren, Margaret Langmo and Stephen Oliver Langmo both of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and several cousins and close friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two sons, Stephen and Thomas Langmo.
Mary was born the daughter of James and Kathryn Sherlock O?Rourke on January 6, 1917, in Estherville, Iowa. On May 29, 1948, at Estherville, she was united in marriage to E. S. "Tat? Langmo. He died September 29, 1987. Mary was a librarian for many years at Linn-Mar School District and the Marion Public Library. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mary was an avid reader and card player and loved to gamble and play crossword puzzles.
