Mary Faith Knapp

Mary Faith Knapp, 89, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2022, Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Inurnment: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Mary was born April 16, 1933, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of John E. and Faye (Craft) Evans. She graduated from St. Patrick’s High School. Mary was a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Church and a member of the VFW. In her younger years, Mary enjoyed playing golf and tennis. She loved to read, play cards, and spend days at the beach, especially picnics. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Mary was also a devoted pet lover. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children, John (Barb) Woodward, Dan (Mary Jane) Woodward, Jeff Woodward, Matt Woodward, Mark Woodward, Laura (Scott) Kruger, Kathy (John) Stratton, Mike Woodward, as well as numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Teresa Burns; siblings, Catherine Durr, Robert Evans, and John Evans, and her beloved dog, Red.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Iowa Humane Alliance or Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
