Mary Ella King

Mary Ella King, 83, of the West Ridge Care Center, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died there Monday, December 24, 2007, following a brief illness. Private Memorial Service with inurnment at Linwood Cemetery.
Survivors include her sisters, Jean King of Cedar Rapids and Barbara Orton of Marion; niece Lisa (Dan) Gorbatjuk of Marion; great nephew, William Gorbatjuk; and great niece, Emma Gorbatjuk.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Harry E. King.
On June 23, 1924, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mary was born to Harry I. and Ruth (Clement) King. She was a secretary for Rockwell Collins Radio, retiring in 1979.
Mary loved animals and the family requests memorials be made in Mary’s memory to the Cedar Valley Humane Society, 7411 Mt. Vernon Road S.E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52403.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Mercy and the staff of West Ridge Care Center.
