Mary Kathryn “Kaye Fosdick” Fulrath, 96, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on March 16, 2018, at MethWick Senior Center in Cedar Rapids. A Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Burial: St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Keota, Iowa. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Kaye was born on January 14, 1922, in Keota, Iowa, the daughter of Charles A. and Eva (Palm) Fosdick. On December 26, 1944, Kaye was united in marriage to Tom Fulrath in Davenport, Iowa. She graduated from Keota High School in 1939, carrying an “A” average. Kaye attended Marycrest College, Davenport, Iowa from 1939-1941, and St. Ambrose College from 1941 – 1942. A 1978 graduate of the Iowa State School of Banking, she held the National Association of Women Management Certification in 1979. Kaye was Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Merchants National Bank (MNB) in Cedar Rapids where she served for 25 years.
Kaye is survived by a daughter-in-law, Lucille C. Fulrath of Virginia Beach, Virginia; grandson, Cameron (Lauren Beth) Fulrath, of Virginia Beach where he is serving as a US Navy pilot; great-grandchildren, Harper Grace and Taylor Douglas; brother, Gerald Fosdick; sisters-in-law, Irene Fosdick and Kaye Fosdick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eva Fosdick; son, Douglas K. Fulrath; sisters, Marcella Monaghan and Sister Mary Anita Fosdick, CHM; brothers, Richard Fosdick, Leonard Fosdick, Francis Fosdick, Donald Fosdick, and infant brother, Lambert Fosdick.
