Mary Jeanine Grant, 69, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday afternoon, July 21, 2005, at home. Friends may call from 2 - 6 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2005, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion, where a prayer service will begin at 4:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2005, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Dustin Vu. Burial: Mt. Clark Cemetery, Central City.
Survivors include her husband, William Grant; two sons, Daniel and Kenneth Grant; two daughters, Sherry Gillmore and Cindy Sturtz; two brothers, Ron and David Thompson; a sister, Dorothy Ann Van Laten; and twelve loving grandchildren.
Mary was born in Dubuque, Iowa, to Jess and Harriet Thompson on November 29, 1935.
