Mary Ann Dutra, 66, of Earlville died at her home, Sunday, April 7, 2013, surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Earlville United Parish by Pastor Jill Mack. Visitation will be 2:00 - 8:00 pm., Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Earlville and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Mary Ann was born May 27, 1946 in Prairie DuChein, WI, the daughter of Eugene and Beatrice (Jones) Kramer. Growing up in Dubuque, Mary Ann attend Dubuque Wahlert and graduated from Dubuque Senior High School.
On July 15, 1967, Mary Ann was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Dutra in Dubuque. The couple resided in Earlville for 41 years. In addition to raising their three children, Bob and Mary Ann were foster parents for nine years.
Mary Ann worked as an Office Manager for Orbit Screens, at ATI as a Marketing/Sales Manager, the Manchester Press, assisted her parents in operating the Knight Light in Dyersville for 10 years, worked at the Maquoketa Valley Schools part-time for 3 years, and was a Shaklee Distributor. Mary Ann was involved in her community working with Dollars for Scholars, volunteering at the Earlville Schools, and served on the Manchester Chamber of Commerce Board for 3 years. In her spare time, Mary Ann enjoyed scrapbooking with her special “Scrap Booking Ladies” and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bob Dutra of Earlville; her mother, Beatrice Kramer of Dubuque; three children, Melissa (special friend, Al Krapfl) Dutra of Earlville, Mark (Angie) Dutra of Monticelllo, Diane (Chad) Deutmeyer of Earlville; nine grandchildren, Danielle, Mitch, Morgan, Eric, Katilyn, Anna, Gage, Clint, and Avery; a sister, Dolores Schulte of Dubuque and a brother, Richard (Kate White) Kramer of Galena, IL.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Kramer.
