Mary Lou Conrad (Meader)

Mary Lou Conrad, 70, of Manchester, Iowa, died Sunday, November 5, 2006 at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester following a lengthy illness.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester by Rev. Harlan Kaden. Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forestville Cemetery in Dundee.
Mary was born October 25, 1936 in Iowa City, the daughter of Harry W. & Dorthea (Nelson) Meader. She attended school in Delaware, Dubuque, and Manchester. On November 7, 1953 she was united in marriage to Robert James Conrad at the Methodist Parsonage in Manchester. The couple farmed and Mary drove bus for West Delaware Schools.
Mary was a member of the Manchester United Methodist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Mary loved to fish, sew, and spend time with her family.
Mary is survived by three sons, Terry (Latricia) Conrad of Dundee, Dennis (Jean) Conrad and Duane (Patty) Conrad, both of Manchester; five grandchildren, Daniel, Samantha, Tina, Mitch & Shelley Conrad; five sisters, Rose M. Klemp of Houston, TX, Dorothea C. (Richard) Bradley of Manchester, Harriett S. Thomas of Manchester, Dora A. (John) McDowell of Edgewood and Beth (Kent) Reskie of Spencer; two brothers, Fred A. (Dianna) Meader of Sycamore, Georgia, and Jeffery W. (Barb) Meader of Loxahatchee, Florida.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Conrad on September 13, 2006; her parents, Harry & Dorthea Meader; and three sisters, Patsy LaSalle Manson, Lily L. Henderson, and an infant sister.
