Marsha L. Jones Evans, 66, of Prospect Heights, IL, died Thursday morning, February 9, 2006 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 10:30 Monday, February 13, 2006 at the Delhi United Methodist Church in Delhi. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Earlville and one hour before services Monday at the church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Delhi.
Marsha was born December 9, 1939 in Delhi, the daughter of Forrest "Buster? & Hilda (Simons) Jones. She was baptized and became a member of the Delhi Methodist Church where she was organist during her high school years. She graduated from Delhi High School in 1957. Marsha married Frank Evans in 1986. The couple made their home in Prospect Heights, Illinois where she worked as a secretary until retirement. She enjoyed music, dancing and camping.
Marsha is survived by her husband, Frank Evans of Prospect Heights; a son Kyle Gaddie of Washington, D.C., mother, Hilda Jones of Marion; brother, Michael (Sharon) Jones of Independence, MO; niece, Michele Baker of Branson, MO; brother-in-law, Charles Evans of Kentucky; three step-children, Mike, Patricia & Frank; three step-grandchildren; three aunts, Betty Pettlon, Mary McElmeel and Jane (Charles) Mautino; two nephews; and many cousins.
Marsha was preceded in death by her father, Forrest "Buster? Jones; and a nephew, Kevin Jones.
