Mark A. Rouse, 45, of Marion, left his loved ones on Tuesday, November 2, 2004, at Ft. Madison Community Hospital in Ft. Madison, following a sudden illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2004, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Ed Bateman and Rev. Steve Benton. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. To honor Mark?s memory, his family requests that guests dress casually (as Mark always did) for visitation and services. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
He is survived by his daughter, Desiree Rouse of Marion; two brothers, Scott (Melissa) Rouse of North Carolina and Allen Rouse of Marion; Mark?s fiancé, Rochelle Parker of Ft. Madison; his parents, John "Pete? and Nelda Rouse of Marion; his grandmother, Frances Miller (Charles) of Washington, Iowa; nephew and niece, Kyle and Audrey Rouse of Cedar Rapids; nephews, Austin and Jake Rouse of North Carolina; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; maternal grandfather; and several aunts and uncles.
Mark was born December 21, 1958, the son of John "Pete? and Nelda (Mastain) Rouse, in Cedar Rapids. He was a life long resident of Marion. Mark attended Marion High School. He was a sub-contractor for Sears. He found a love of carpentry after spending time with his grandfather, Donald Mastain in Oregon.
Mark enjoyed riding his Harley with friends and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Toys for Tots - Harley Riders.
