Marjorie Elizabeth "Marge? Wilson, 62, of Central City, died Monday, April 17, 2006, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, after a short illness. Services: 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Burial: Wilcox Cemetery, Viola, Iowa. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 - 9 p.m. Thursday.
Survivors include a daughter, Laura Joe (Darrin) Comley and a son, Daniel Anderson (Scelena) Wilson, all of Central City; five grandchildren, Kathleen "Katie? Comley, Heather Comley, Christopher Comley, Hunter Wilson and Caleb Wilson; a sister, Kathryn Freese of Monticello; a brother, Richard Anderson of Minnesota; many special friends including, Arlys Huff, Nancy McShane and Darlene Ozburne; and her cats, Sam and Barney.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and three brothers, Ronald, Earl and Merle Anderson.
Marge was born the daughter of George W. and Esther M. (Leinen) Anderson on January 4, 1944, in Cedar Rapids. She was a graduate of Anamosa High School in 1962. Marge and Joseph Keith Wilson were married June 14, 1964, in Anamosa. He died March 27, 1993. She retired from Rockwell-Collins after working there for thirty-seven years.
Marge was a member of Nancy?s Paint Class and loved American Legion, church and community gatherings of all sorts. She enjoyed luncheons and dinners with her fellow Rockwell retirees.
Family was paramount in Marge?s life; her family, especially her children and grandchildren, were her pride and joy.
Marge was a fun-loving, kind-hearted person, who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
A memorial fund has been established in Marge?s memory.
The family would like to extend special thanks for the loving and gracious care given by: Dr. Hayes, Dr. Cowden, Dr. Keating and the staff at Mercy Medical Center Critical Care Unit. It was greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
