Marjorie M. Victor, 82, of 2450 12th Avenue, passed away January 30, 2004, in Arlington Place Assisted Living in Oelwein, following a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2004, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion, by the Rev. John Gossman. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2004, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Marion, where a parish vigil will be held at 6 p.m. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Bowden of Oelwein and her children, Tish, Todd and Tiffany, Jim Victor of Davenport, Iowa, Mary Anne Victor of Des Moines, Iowa, Tom Victor and wife Mary of Omaha, Nebraska and their children, Jodi, Julie, Tim, Chris and Megan, and Mick Victor and wife Karen of Long Beach, California and their children, Amanda and Isabelle; and a sister, Lois Geiger and husband Mark of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Al; and a brother, William Pirk Jr.

Marjorie was born to William and Marjorie (Hochguertel) Pirk on May 8, 1921, in Racine, Wisconsin. She married Albert "Al? C. Victor on August 23, 1941, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. He passed away December 27, 2002. Marge was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church since 1956, where she and her husband Al started and managed the religious goods store. Marge worked for Norwest Bank for many years, retiring in 1985. She was also a member of St. Theresa?s Circle, Red Hat Club for Ladies and Marion Business Girls.

Marge?s loves included cooking, baking, playing cards and knitting. Marge was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, her children and her many friends. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her life.

Marge was very strong in the Catholic faith. She was always there to help family, her many friends or those in need. Marge was very lovely and gracious and she will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial fund has been established in Marge?s memory.
