Marjorie Ann Spratt, 76, of 31 Clive Drive N.W., Cedar Rapids, died Friday, January 20, 2006, in St. Luke?s Hospital following a long illness. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2006, at First Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Dr. Kay Slocum. Private family inurnment: Linwood Mausoleum. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include four children, Kevin (Laura) Spratt, PhD of Lebanon, New Hampshire, Kraig Spratt of Cedar Rapids, Kellie (Eric) August of Ledyard, Connecticut, and Kris Spratt (Jeff Newman) of Cedar Rapids; five grandsons, Chad, Tyler, Jefferson, Evan, and Andrew; and one great-grandson, Harbor.
Also surviving are two sisters, Dixie Myer of Poway, California, Pat Miell of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Jack (Marilyn) Miell of Bullhead City, Arizona, and Rick (Karen) Miell of Viola. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 33 years, Jack Spratt; and her brother, Gary Miell.
Marge was born August 1, 1929, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Wilma (Barker) Miell. She worked as an administrator for several insurance agencies in the Cedar Rapids area for 30 years. She played bridge, bunco, and golf, enjoyed reading and solving crossword puzzles.
