Marissa Rose Harbach, 13, of Delhi, died, Saturday, May 7, 2011 from the results of a car accident. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Manchester, conducted by Rev. Donald Krause. Visitation: 2-8pm, Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Earlville. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery, Delhi.
Marissa was born November 21, 1997 the daughter of Scott Harbach and Patty Bowers. She was currently a 7th grader at Maquoketa Valley in Delhi and the Graduating Class of 2016. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Delaware. Marissa was active in track, volleyball, softball, and fine arts. She enjoyed being around people, and always brought great joy to everyone who knew her. When asked who her friends were, she said, “they’re all my friends, when she spoke of her classmates”
Survivors include her parents Scott Harbach and Patty Bowers of Delhi; paternal grandmother Ruth Harbach of Delhi; maternal grandparents Kenneth and Marjorie Bowers of Strawberry Point; two sisters, Felicia of Cedar Rapids and Caitlin of Delhi.
Marissa was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Wilbur Harbach.
In lieu of flowers memorials will be used for a Dollar for Scholars endowment in Marissa’s memory.
