Marilyn Jeanne Iliff, 72, of DePere, Wisconsin, formerly of Marion, died of cancer Tuesday, October 15, 2002, in her daughter?s home in DePere. Memorial Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2002, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by the Rev. Howard Chapman. Inurnment: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Survivors include her children, David Iliff of Madison, Wisconsin, Linda Evonicek of Elkton, Oregon, Barbara Korth of DePere, Wisconsin and Jeffrey Iliff of Indianapolis, Indiana; her grandchildren, Maggie and Richard Iliff, RaeJeanne, Joanna, Christine and John Evonicek, Alison, Casey and Melissa Korth and Benjamin and Katherine Iliff.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Nimwegen.
Marilyn was born May 7, 1930, in Alton, Iowa, the daughter of Doras "Speck? and Ina Van Nimwegen. She graduated from Eagle Grove Junior College and taught fourth grade for one year. She married in 1951 and later divorced. Marilyn was employed at Linn-Mar School District for 24 years. She volunteered at Family Services, YMCA, St. Luke?s Hospital, and many various athletic events. Marilyn was a member of Marion Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir. She enjoyed family gatherings, visiting with friends, computer projects and bridge club.
Marilyn will be remembered for her love, thoughtfulness, joy and courage.
A memorial has been established at Farmers State Bank with proceeds to be contributed to Unity Hospice in Green Bay and Amenity Hospice in Cedar Rapids.
