Marilyn was born November 4, 1948, in Toledo, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Alice (Cloud) Mason. She graduated from South Tama High School. On August 2, 1969, she was united in marriage to Wilbur G. Falconer in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Marilyn worked for AT&T as a telephone operator and then for Aegon/TransAmerica as the manager of a call center. She enjoyed five years of her retirement living in Sarasota, Florida, before returning to Iowa.

She had a very strong faith and was a member of the New Life Community Church. Marilyn loved to travel, visiting many places over the years including vacations to most domestic states, cruises to Alaska, Bonaire and the Caribbean, a wonderful winter spent in Hawaii with her husband and even the Great Wall of China. She cheered for the Tampa Bay Lightning and enjoyed taking her grandkids to a local hockey game, and of course enjoyed Iowa Hawkeye football and basketball. She liked to paint, write, read, play board and card games, listen to music, study her Bible, enjoy time with her good friends, and explore all the great things life has to offer.

Marilyn is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Adam (Jessica) Falconer; granddaughter, Emma; grandson, Brecken, who were the joys of her life; her loving sisters, Donna (Bill) Smaha and Gayla (Gregg) Logan; and brother-in-law, Roger (Linda) Falconer.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Wilbur; and son, Joshua Falconer; her mother and father; and her brothers, Dennis Mason, Robert (Gloria) Mason, and Ken Mason (Emily, surviving).
