Marijane Carr (Carr)

Marijane Carr, 78, of Evanston, Illinois, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2006, at her home. Graveside services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2006, at Springville Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12-1 p.m. Saturday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include her children, Paul, Elise and Peter Siegal; grandchildren, Janine, Kurt, Hilary, Benjamin, Timothy, and Christopher Siegal and Robin, and Jasper Yirgil.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fritz Siegal; and two grandsons, Peter Siegel and Allen Yirgil.
Marijane was born in Oak Park, Illinois to Vivian and Lucille (Butcher) Carr. She attended The Julliard School for the Performing Arts and studied with Leonard Rose. Marijane was a cellist with the Lyric Opera Orchestra of Chicago. She researched and wrote "Our Grandmothers?, a genealogical account and history of the Carr, Butcher, Kimbal, Armstrong, Borresen, Dunlap, Horton, and Remberg families.
Marijane will be remembered fondly as a friend, cousin, aunt, great aunt, and cello teacher to many.
