Marie M. Woods, 90, of Ryan died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday morning, July 20, 2004 at the Good Neighbor Home, Manchester.
Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 23 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Ryan by Rev. Msgr. Ralph Simington. Friends may call from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester with a scripture service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be Calvary Cemetery, Ryan.
Marie was born on May 1, 1914 in West Bend, IA the daughter of John J. and Margaret (McNally) Clennon. She attended Cathedral High School in Sioux Falls, SD. On May 1, 1934 Marie was united in marriage to Francis "Frank? P. Woods at St. Joseph?s Cathedral Church in Sioux Falls. She worked as a homemaker.
Marie was a member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Ryan. She enjoyed quilting, making and praying rosaries and playing with her grandchildren.
Marie is survived by eight children, Mary (Charles) Moran of Pewaukee, WI, Patrick Woods (Marj O?Brien) of Ryan, Sarah (Wayne) Otten of St. Peters, MO, Bernice (Thomas) Boffeli of Dubuque, Lois (Donald) Venzke of Cedar Rapids, Leo (Paula) Woods, Vincent (Jeanne) Woods and Paul (Sharon) Woods, all of Ryan; a daughter-in-law, Janet Woods of Ryan; 40 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Woods in 1966; three children, Kathlyn M. Strother, Helen A. Woods and James J. Woods; four grandchildren, Patrick J. Woods, Teresa J. Boffeli, Kyle P. Woods and Ann Strother; a brother, Harold Clennon; and a sister, Evelyn Derrick.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Frank P. & Marie M. Woods Family Fund.
