Marie A. Hillebrand, 51, of Earlville, died, Tuesday, July 10, 2012. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, July 14, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Earlville, conducted by Rev. Dennis Quint. Visitation will be 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Friday, July 13, 2012 at Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Earlville, with a 8:00 pm Scripture Service, additional visitation will be 9:00 am – 10:00 am, Saturday, prior to the mass at the funeral home. Inurnment: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Earlville.
Marie was born on December 27, 1960, the daughter of Earl F. and Josephine M. (Connolly) Gibbs. She graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School in 1979. Marie was united in marriage on May 17, 1980 to Rick Hillebrand at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Earlville. She worked at Ertl's in Dyersville from 1979 till 1992.
Marie was a persistent, optimistic person, who lived life to her fullest. Her proudest accomplishment was her children.
Survivors include her husband, Rick; their children, Rachel (Craig) Kramer of Delaware, Brad (Heather) Hillebrand of Wichita and Brian (Kinsey Gibbs) Hillebrand of Manchester; three grandchildren, Cameron, Colton, and Caden; siblings, Debi (Cliff) Gearhart of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Steve (Laurie) Gibbs of Earlville;sister-in-laws, Shirley Armstrong of Dubuque and Marilyn (Ken) Bruck of Dubuque; numerous other relatives and especially her godson, Christopher Gearhart.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, and three infant sisters including Lou Ann and Rose Ann.
A memorial fund has been established in Marie's memory.
