Marie "Bina" Bowers (Hartson)
October 22, 1946 — February 11, 2007
Marie "Bina? Bowers, 60, of 1215 20th Avenue S.W. Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, February 11, 2007, of cancer in her niece, Alice?s home, in Atkins, Iowa. Services: 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, by the Rev. Bill Harnish. The family will greet friends from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home the day of the service. Burial: Mt. Clark Cemetery, Central City.
Survivors include her children, Eric Builta, Kathleen Smith, Tina Builta-Miller and William Builta, all of Cedar Rapids; sister, Linda Beltz of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Lloyd Hartson and Orlie Hartson, both of Cedar Rapids and John Hartson of Washington state.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Everett Builta, Bernie Wedlund and Paul Bowers; and her parents.
Marie was born October 22, 1946, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Lucius and Marie (Pagel) Hartson. On September 13, 2003, she was united in marriage to Paul Bowers in Cedar Rapids. He died February 5, 2007.
