Marian Louise Freiburger, 54, of Manchester was called to heaven, Saturday January 15, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a sudden illness.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Delhi, by Rev. John R. Kremer. Visitation will be 2:00 – 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service with a 9:00 p.m. Scripture Service. Additional visitation 1 hr. prior to services Wednesday, at the church. Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Delhi.
Marian was born September 25, 1956 in Manchester, the daughter of Clarence and Frances Thole. On November 3, 1979, she was united in marriage to Patrick J. Freiburger. For the past 20 years, Marian was Department Manager in the Arts & Crafts Dept. at the Manchester Wal-Mart.
Marian was a member of the St. John’s Catholic Church, a religious education teacher, a member of the Parish Council, a dedicated 4-H Leader for the Tri-Town Hoyas, enjoyed sewing, crafts, scrapbooking and gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Marian is survived by her children, Amelia Ann (William) Krapfl of Hopkinton, Robert John (Nichole) Freiburger of Delhi, Katie Marie (Ryan) Moriarity of Manchester, Kelly Jo Ann (Aaron) Dunham of Spokane Valley, WA, and Patrick James (Ashley Miller) Freiburger, Jr. of Delhi; six grandchildren, Adrienne, Cadence, Kalynn, Maleah, Ryleigh, Jordyn, and expecting an additional grandchild; siblings, John C. (Kathy) Thole and Ann (Paul) Sperfslage; and many nieces and nephews.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Frances Thole.
An memorial fund has been established in Marian’s name.
