Marian F. Fisher (Anderson)

Marian F. Fisher, 91, of Linn Manor Care Center, died there on February 25, 2009, following a lingering illness. Services will be held 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2009, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Reverend John Keizer. Visitation will be Friday, February 27, 2009, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial: Springville Cemetery.
Survivors include, her children, John Fisher of Cedar Rapids, Virgil Fisher of Cedar Rapids, Jim (Traci) Fisher of Cedar Rapids, Dan Fisher of Georgia, Dorothy (Roger) Groeneveld of Loveland, Colorado, Janice (Jim) Leonard of Cedar Rapids, Glenda (Everett) Mysak of Marion; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Buridge of Pittsfield, Illinois, and Mary Patterson of Quincey, Illinois
Also surviving is a daughter-in-law, Karen Fisher of Marion; a sister-in-law, Lorene Anderson of Viola, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen E. Fisher; one son, Terry Fisher; and one brother, Virgil Anderson.
Marian was born July 8, 1917, in Mercer County, Illinois to Leonard and Florence (Anderson) Anderson. She was married to Glen E. Fisher December 12, 1934, in Viola, Illinois. She farmed alongside her husband for many years and worked at Rockwell Collins for sixteen years in the cafeteria.
