Marian L. Bornstein, 75, 310 5th Avenue SE, died Monday, December 1, 2003, at Genesis East Hospital, Davenport, from a sudden illness. Services: 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 5, 2003, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Entombment: Linwood Mausoleum.
She is survived by her children, Michael Bornstein of Longmont, Colorado, Charles Bornstein of Phoenix, Arizona, Eric Bornstein of Cedar Rapids, and Shari Broughton of Delaware, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Joel and Matthew Broughton, Andrew and Alexander Bornstein and Amanda, Brittany and Hailey Bornstein; her sisters, Lucille Putz of McCook, Nebraska, Lavon Montey of Fort Collins, Colorado and Dorothy Mills of Omaha, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Arlene Hilligas, Betty Demarr, Delores Dealey, and a brother, Gerald Leetsch.
Marian was born May 18, 1928, in Rosmont, Nebraska, the daughter of Don and Ida (Hoppen) Leetsch. She married Lloyd Bornstein and they later divorced. Marian was a cook for Armstrong?s and Ashley?s. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and working puzzles. She will be greatly missed.
