Margo Kay (Adams) Wodstrchill, 56, of Marion, died, Saturday, September 13, 2008, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, following a lengthy illness. Cremation will be at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. It is Margo’s wish to have a Celebration of her Life; held on Sunday, September 21, 2008, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 3240 Southgate Place S.W., Cedar Rapids. Chaplain Jeremy Hudson will officiate.

She is survived by her loving husband, David; a daughter, Tracy (Vince) Welsh and their daughters, Alex & Tori; a son, Travis; David’s children, Ryan & David; big brother Barry (Cheryl) Adams; niece, Amy Adams Brecht (Rich), nephew, Bradey (Theresa) Adams; special in-laws, Rick & Stacy Welsh, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Margo was preceded in death by her parents, Buss and Corene (Hagen) Adams.

Margo was born January 15, 1952 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1970. She went on St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Davenport and graduated with an RN degree in 1973. She worked at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids for many years until having to retire.

Margo will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who met her. She will be remembered for her dedicated nursing career, her great sense of humor, the jokes she’d tell, and her great love and devotion for her family. She especially loved to spend time with granddaughters, Alex and Tori and doing scrap booking with Tracy.

All who knew Margo, please come and enjoy great stories, good food, and fun memories of her on Sunday, September 21, at 4:00 p.m. at the V.F.W.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established and may be directed to the family.

A special thanks goes out to St. Luke’s Hospice, the loving staff at Iowa Blood and Cancer Care and the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha.
