A visitation will be held Friday, October 24, 2014, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Manchester. A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday at Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche.

Margo was born December 2, 1949, to Joseph and Marian (Shafer) Laurent in Clinton, Iowa. She was a graduate of Clinton High School. As a child she loved family vacations to Lake Delhi. After graduation she moved to Delhi, Iowa, and opened their family restaurant. She married David Schustersich on September 19, 1981. Two children were born into this union. They later divorced. Margo then moved back to Clinton in 2000. In 2004, she moved to Marion, Iowa, to be closer and enjoy her children and grandchildren.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church. Her most important job was being a mother to Andy and Megan, but she enjoyed working as a cake decorator. One of her most prized past-times was watching her children and grandchildren participating in all of their sporting events. Margo loved baking and sharing recipes with her family and friends, and took pride preparing meals for family get-togethers.

Margo is survived by her children, Andy (Amanda) Schuster and Megan (Josh) Burger; grandchildren, Brayden, Madilyn, Mallory, Maddox, Marshall, Blake, Dylan, Krayton, and Madux; her mother, Marian Laurent; a brother, Rick (Louise) Laurent; and nieces, Lori, Lisa, and Lindsay.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph; and a daughter, Andrea.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established by the family.
