Early in their marriage Carl was called to the ministry. The family relocated to Columbus, Ohio, where Margery returned to work while Carl received his Master of Divinity. It was during this time that their son Eric became a member of the family.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
