Margaret Marie Wright, 95, of Troy Mills, entered into rest on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Troy Mills Christian Church, Troy Mills, by Pastor James Wolf. The family will greet friends from 4 - 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Burial: Circle Grove Cemetery, Walker.
Survivors include her children, Fred (Etta Mae) Wright of Walker, Karen Arp (Jim Jorgensen) of Troy Mills, and Jeanne (Dennis) Pullin of Troy Mills; 5 grandchildren, Kathy Shannon, JoEtta (Steve) Schumacher, Robert (Andrea) Arp, Traci (Rob) Wilson, and Melissa Pullin; 10 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Bernice Wright of Independence.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Richard (who died in infancy) and a sister, Jean Washburn.
Margaret was born November 16, 1913, the daughter of Fred and Carrie (Franklin) McKeever, in Troy Mills, Iowa. She married Alvin E. Wright on April 4, 1933. He past in 1972. Margaret was a 4-H leader, a member of the Troy Mills Homemakers Club, the Troy Mills Christian Church and the Sew - n ?" Sew Club. She dedicated her life to her family and her community.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Margaret’s memory.
