Margaret “Marge” A. Willard, 80, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Memorial Service: 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 and visitation one hour prior to her services at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Vickie Stalmarck, George (Lana) Willard, Sherry Willard and Debra (Tom) Fleming; step-son Howard Willard; grandchildren, Severin, Shay, Andrew, Alex, Aymie, Tommy, Derek, Faith and Chris; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard; and brothers and sisters.
Marge was born on July 25, 1935, in Vinton, Iowa, daughter of Henry and Rettie (Rice) Scherbaum. On April 19, 1952, she was united in marriage to Howard Willard, in Vinton, Iowa. She retired from National Oats after 22 years. Marge enjoyed baking and bowling.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or United Cerebral Palsy, in memory of Marge.
