Margaret Nadine Weidel, 87, formerly of Lakewood, California and most recently a resident of the Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center, Cedar Rapids, died there Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Graveside Service: Forrest Lawn Cemetery, Cypress, California.
Survivors include her children, Mardine A. (Ed) Smith, Robin R. (Paul) Trimble, Terri L. Stroud, and Harold Q. (Renee) Roach; 11 grandchildren, Garren, Jeremy, Michael, Joie, Duane, Adam, Heather, Megan, Tyler, Aaron, and Branin; 12 great-grandchildren, Mariah, Kylie, Paityn, Sydney, Cooper, Chase, Bobbie, Courtney, Wyatt, Sara, Alex, and, Liza, and 1 great-great-grandchild, Erin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sharon; a brother, William; and a great-grandson, Taylor.
Margaret was born was born June 11, 1921, the daughter of Bryan and Jewell (Windom) Thompson, in Poteau, Oklahoma. She first married Horace Q. Roach and later married William Sparks Weidel.
